Glenn Hoddle has said he is glad to still be alive to watch Tottenham seal their place in the club’s first ever Champions League final.
The Spurs legend was at the Johan Cruyff Arena as the Premier League club staged another miraculous English comeback to knock out Ajax after finding themselves 3-0 down on aggregate in Amsterdam.
A stunning second-half hat-trick from Lucas Moura, with his third scored in the sixth minute of added time, saw Tottenham come back to draw 3-3 and go through through to the final in Madrid, where they will meet Liverpool, on away goals.
All-time White Hart Lane great and lifelong Tottenham fan Hoddle suffered a heart attack on his 61st birthday last October after collapsing at the BT Sport studios.
He has since recovered and returned to his punditry duties, and was back in the studio on Wednesday night.

And, after watching Moura’s last-gasp heroics, he told fellow former Tottenham star Gary Lineker: “I’ve never been happier.
“I’m so glad I’m still around to see this.
“Being a Spurs fan from when I was eight years old, what a proud moment this is.”
Hoddle was almost toppled over by fellow pundit Rio Ferdinand when they celebrated Moura’s stunning winner.
In a video posted by BT on social media, Ferdinand was seen grabbing Hoddle in his passion and almost pushing him over.
