Eden Hazard: Chelsea forward on favouring Arsenal over Tottenham, playing in China, and downplays Real Madrid transfer talk

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has taken part in a Q&A with Belgian magazine HLN – and it’s safe to say one of his comments will delight Blues fans.

Hazard, who scored three times in the international break for Belgium, has been the subject of constant transfer speculation linking him with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old has always idolised returning Real boss Zinedine Zidane and similarly has always dreamt of a move to Los Blancos.

However, whilst he didn’t say anything about the move specifically, Hazard did admit something which will delight Chelsea fans.

When asked if he preferred the blue of Chelsea or the white of Real Madrid, he emphatically answered ‘Blue!’

So if colour preferences are anything to go by, then Chelsea’s main man is set to be playing at the Garden of Eden (Stamford Bridge) for years to come.

Hazard also revealed he wants to continue playing until he’s 35 and he has no desire to play in China or MLS.

When asked if he would ever play in America, he said: “No. Things can always change, but I doubt it if I will ever play there.”

Hazard was also left in a sticky position for some of the other questions.

He was asked whether he’d rather be a Euro champion with Belgium or a Champions League winner with Chelsea.

And he responded calmly to avoid putting himself in hot water. saying: “I will play the joker card here.

“If I say European champions with the national team I will turn all the Chelsea fans against me. If I say the Champions League, every person in Belgium will fall out with me.”

Chelsea’s no.10 was also quizzed on who he prefers out of London rivals Arsenal and Spurs – and opted for the Gunners for a special reason.

He claimed: “As a little boy I was a big fan of Thierry Henry, so voila.”

He also claimed he would love to be Cristiano Ronaldo for a day, saying: “Oh yes, it would be fantastic to reach his level of excellence. I think that would be so brilliant.
”

Hazard and Chelsea have a crucial trip to Wales on Sunday to face Cardiff.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are three points adrift of fourth spot in sixth.
