‘Next year is your year’ – Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea fans taunt Liverpool after Manchester City win Premier League title

Liverpool took the lead at home to Wolves early on through Sadio Mane and City initially went a goal down at Brighton, however they came back to win 4-1 and so the Scousers’ 2-0 victory was rendered meaningless.

As it became apparent that we would see a two-horse title race in 2018/19, supporters of the country’s other big clubs largely sided with Manchester City in the hope that Liverpool’s title drought would go on.

The Reds have not won the league since 1990 and have never picked up the Premier League trophy since it formed in 1992.

With Sunday’s results, the wishes of many of these fans were granted and their first reactions were of course to rub it into the Liverpool faithful on social media.
