LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS
Arsenal bid farewell to three players on Sunday with Aaron Ramsey in tears as he prepares to head off to Juventus after eleven years of service, while there were also goodbyes to goalkeeper Petr Cech and striker Danny Welbeck.
But who else could be on their way out and who could Emery bring in this summer? talkSPORT.com takes a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and gossip…
WHO COULD BE HEADING OUT?
Stephan Lichtsteiner
The 35-year-old looked his age and more at times on Sunday, struggling to deal with the threat of Solly March.
The Switzerland international, who has only played ten times this season and is out of contract in the summer, could be on his way out after admitting he may look for regular first-team football to give himself the best chance of appearing at Euro 2020 should his country get there.
Nacho Monreal
Another defender who is out of contract in the summer, the left-back was reportedly discussing an extension to his current deal back in January, but talks do not appear to have progressed.
He has been linked with a move back to Spain, with Barcelona among the surprise names to show an interest.
Granit Xhaka
An ever-present in the Arsenal midfield, Xhaka said back in March; â€Å“I’m very ambitious, I want to take the next step. Arsenal does not have to be the last stop.â€
The 26-year-old has made 131 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 11 goals, but could be off after failure to secure Champions League football for a third successive season.
Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal’s Player of the Year, the Frenchman has had another impressive season, scoring 18 times in all competitions. Barcelona have been keeping tabs and have been impressed with the way he has linked up with fellow forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Lacazette is close to Barca’s technical secretary and fellow countryman Eric Abidal and a £70m bid, plus guaranteed Champions League football and the chance to play alongside Lionel Messi, may just be too much to resist.
WHO HAS BEEN LINKED?
Ryan Fraser
The diminutive Bournemouth attacker has been in outstanding form this season with seven goals and 13 assists in the Premier League and according to the Mirror, the 25-year-old has ambitions to play for a top six side. Arsenal are said to be among the clubs interested.
Kenny Lala
First-choice right-back Hector Bellerin suffered a serious knee injury against Chelsea back in January and the Gunners are desperate to strengthen that area of the team.
Lala has been excellent for Strasbourg this campaign and Arsenal are leading the chase for his signature, but Manchester City are also said to be keeping an eye on the 27-year-old.
Wilfried Zaha
Emery has reportedly made the Crystal Palace star his top transfer target and Zaha is keen to make it at another top six side after a disappointing spell with Manchester United.
Arsenal are eager to add homegrown influence to their team and Zaha would be just that, despite switching allegiance to the Ivory Coast.
Djene Dakonam
According to reports in Spain, Arsenal boss Emery attended the LaLiga match between Valencia and Getafe on March 18 to run the rule over the Togo international.
The Gunners are eager to bring in a new central defender and Dakonam has been an impressive performer for Getafe over the past few seasons.
The 27-year-old is understood to have a €35million (£30m) buyout clause in his contract.
