Manchester United are ‘ready to pay’ the £36million release clause of Kostas Manolas, according to reports.
The Roma centre-half has courted attention of Juventus after his incredible performances in Serie A.
But it is United who are leading the race for the Greek defender’s signature.
According to Tutto Mercato, the Red Devils were also interested in signing Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan.
However, the price for Manolas is seen as the better economic decision given both defenders are reportedly demanding €5million per year in wages (around £87,000-a-week).
In fact, the interest is so genuine the Italians giants have already lined up alternatives.
