Football fans have named Paul Pogba as the most overrated player in the Premier League.
The Sun’s survey gave readers a ten-man shortlist of top-flight superstars and they picked out the Manchester United midfielder as the man who doesn’t live up to the hype.
The French World Cup winner, 26, was a world-record Ă‚£89million signing for the Red Devils in 2016 but hadn’t quite lived up to the billing in his first two years back at Old Trafford.
Recent months have seen the player reach new heights though, excelling under OIe Gunnar Solskjaer, who is now the club’s permanent manager, replacing Jose Mourinho.
In the Premier League alone he has 11 goals and nine assists already this campaign so is on course for one of his best ever seasons, in terms of goal contributions.
This, though, hasn’t stopped supporters labelling him overrated.
