Alan Brazil wants Celtic to lose against Aberdeen – so they can win the Scottish Premiership title against Rangers at Ibrox.

The Hoops host third place Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon, where even a draw will see them crowned champions for the eighth season in a row.

But, Neil Lennon’s side face Rangers, who look set to end the season as runners-up, in their following game on Sunday 12 May.

And former Celtic schoolboy Brazil believes the Old Firm derby would be the perfect backdrop for a historic eighth straight title.

It’s fair to say Rangers legend Ally McCoist, co-host on Friday’s Sports Breakfast, was not too happy about his suggestion!

Brazil: “I’d rather win it at Ibrox.”

McCoist: “Do you seriously?”

Brazil: “Yeah.”

McCoist: “OK, so you would mind getting beat tomorrow?”

Brazil: “No.”

McCoist: “What if you get beat tomorrow and get beat at Ibrox?”

Brazil: “We wont get beat at Ibrox.”

McCoist: “Would you be willing to take that chance?”

Brazil: “If we had to beat you, we’d beat you at Ibrox, yeah!”
