Eden Hazard transfer: Talks ‘collapse’ over Belgium forward’s move from Chelsea to Real Madrid

Talks between Chelsea and Real Madrid over Eden Hazard’s transfer have reportedly collapsed.

Hazard looks destined to leave Stamford Bridge for LaLiga this summer as he is one of Madrid’s top targets.

The Belgium international all but confirmed his exit following the Europa League final, in fact.

Real Madrid chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez flew into London to try and complete the deal on Monday.

However, Hazard’s move to the Spanish capital appears to have hit a stumbling block, according to the Evening Standard.

It is reported that Sanchez left without a deal being struck as the two clubs could not agree on a transfer fee for Hazard.

Chelsea want around £100milllion for the forward but Madrid do not appear to be willing to meet that valuation.

The Spanish club wanted to get the move completed before Hazard reported for international duty for Belgium on Tuesday – but that did not come to pass.

The 28-year-old has just one year left on his Chelsea contract and, despite the two clubs not agreeing on a fee, he is still expected to leave for Real Madrid during the transfer window.

Madrid have already completed their first big money move of the summer with Luka Jovic joining from Eintracht Frankfurt for £60million earlier this week.
